Swimathon 2019

Fundraising efforts are gathering pace for this summer’s Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award expedition to America. Senior Physical Activity Assistant Ali Dougal has been instrumental in organising events and last weekend a Swimathon was held in conjunction with Poole Lions. Victoria entered four teams who each swam for one hour. That’s a total of 426 lengths, which adds up to 10,650 meters! No total for monies raised as yet but Ali said “It was brilliant to see so many staff and students from VEC, either swimming, helping out or supporting our teams”.
