An incredible performance from Gaelynn Lea
This afternoon we were treated to a concert by American classically trained violinist and songwriter Gaelynn Lea. She was joined by guitarist Dave Mehling and played a lovely set which was by turns up-lifting, reflective and moving. We were joined by students from Winchelsea school who also thoroughly enjoyed Gaelynn’s beautiful music. Gaelynn has a congenital disability called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, or Brittle Bones Disease. In recent years, she has used her music as a platform to advocate for people with disabilities and to promote positive social change. She is currently on a national UK tour having spent much of this year touring the USA. A massive thank you to Gaelynn, Dave, Soundstorm and Belinda Ellicott for a wonderful afternoon of music.
