Arts Award Good Practice Centre.

We are pleased to announce that Victoria Education Centre has been selected as an Arts Award Good Practice Centre.

This is a significant achievement for us and the assessors were really impressed with our application. The Arts and Cultural officer said that, ‘we are very much looking forward to working with you over the course of your 2015-16 Good Practice Centre status!’

A formal announcement of new Good Practice Centres was made at Trinity College, London in September so we had to keep the news under wraps until now.

This status recognises how we use the Arts Award here at VEC to inspire and develop leadership opportunities for all our students. It confirms our student’s high levels of engagement with the arts, how we build their creative skills, and how we support them to achieve a national qualification.

Well done to Arts Teacher Belinda Ellicott for submitting the application and managing the process and huge congratulations to all involved and thank you to everyone for your continued support of the Arts at VEC.
