Calvert Trust Exmoor

Victoria students Brandon, Charlotte, Matthew and William have recently enjoyed a week of outdoor activities at Calvert Trust Exmoor. Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of Exmoor National Park and a short distance from the North Devon Coast, Calvert Trust Exmoor enables people with physical, learning, behavioural and sensory disabilities to experience exciting, challenging and enjoyable outdoor activities. Our students took part in a range of activities during their stay including horse riding, crate stacking, canoeing, climbing, abseiling, zip wire, archery and bush craft. They all showed fantastic bravery and character in tackling these challenges which were so different from their usual daily routines. William especially enjoyed the disco on the Thursday evening! After a brilliant week of personal discovery overcoming all the challenges laid before them they were able to sit around the campfire singing songs and toasting marshmallows. Thank you to all the staff that supported the trip!
