Eco-Schools green Flag Award

We are pleased to announce that Victoria has been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award.

Our Eco Committee have worked extremely hard to make our school as green as it can be!  They have helped produce ideas for recycling, reducing and re-using, made decisions on what areas needed improving, monitored the results and helped create our action plan.  Having achieved the Bronze and Silver status we completed a detailed application for the Green Flag Award and our assessment visit took place on Friday last week.  This is a fantastic achievement for our school as this is the highest award given to Eco-Schools and symbolises excellence in the field of environmental activity. As an Eco-School, we are part of an international group of schools working towards education for sustainable development and a better quality of life for local and global communities.

Very well done to our Eco Committee led by Teacher Jen Williams and we will keep working to improve the environment and raise the profile of issues such as litter, recycling and sustainable living.
