Help for Heroes

We were very pleased to welcome four soldiers who are currently undertaking a programme of sports recovery at Tedworth House in Wiltshire. Tedworth House is one of four recovery centres run by Help for Heroes which form part of the Defence Recovery Capability. The soldiers were welcomed by Simon Brown and VEC students Connor Ferris, Tom Truong and Robert Ewins. Our students then led sessions in zone hockey and Powerchair football. The visit was a follow on from a previous trip to the Tedworth House recovery centre where our students took the sport of Powerchair football to them for an introductory session.

The visit was a great success, with soldiers and students alike thoroughly enjoying the opportunities that the day presented. Thanks to the VEC Sport team and our Help for Heroes friends.  We thoroughly look forward to working with them again in the future.
