Merlin's Magic Wand

Victoria’s friends and supporters Merlin’s Magic Wand sprinkled their magic dust over Victoria last Friday when they set up their fun festival in the sports hall. Superstar Lego movie character Emmet was on hand to meet students and staff and was happy to pose for a few photos. Emmet was joined by Millie Magic Wand and we were treated to an impromptu dance by the pair. Dan White from the Department of Ability drew some brilliant depictions of our students as superheroes.  Dan is the author/creator of the “Born to be different, Born to save the world” superheroes comics.  Also adding to the fun we had professional face painters, storytelling, colouring and free play areas where the students got to grips with some serious building with a Duplo set of bricks which Merlin kindly donated to us afterwards. A truly magical day all round with special thanks to Emily Griffiths from Merlin’s Magic Wand for organising it. Huge thanks also go to Sychelle Walles our awesome face painter, the Lego therapy team and our own Belinda Ellicott.
