Music Teachers Awards 2017

Yesterday evening Belinda Ellicott, Mike Whitlock and Aaron Gregory attended the Music Teacher Awards for Excellence ceremony at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in London Park Lane. These awards celebrate excellence within music education and are the flagship awards for the sector. This year saw a record number of nominations.

Mike Whitlock was nominated alongside four others for the Musicians’ Union Inspiration Award and VEC was shortlisted as one of the five finalists for Best School Music Department.

Although they didn’t win on the night, to be finalists for these categories is an amazing achievement. They thoroughly deserve this recognition and we congratulate them and thank them for all they are doing to increase engagement and participation in music at Victoria.
