Operation Christmas Child
This year’s Samaritan’s Purse shoe box appeal in Victoria, which is run every year by Ingrid McCallum, was one of the most successful yet with a brilliant 128 shoe boxes collected. Operation Christmas Child is organised by Samaritans Purse which is an international relief and development organisation that works through local churches. Those that wish to participate pack a shoe box with toys, school supplies, clothing or even a toothbrush and soap. Ingrid collects the boxes and this is then sent to the neediest children around the world. Thanks to Ingrid and the generous souls who contributed this year.
