Coronavirus (COVID-19) update: Victoria School will reopen to students from Monday 4 January 2021. The College campus is open for all students.

Update: 2 November 2020

Livability Victoria School will remain open throughout the next lockdown beginning on Thursday 5 November for a period of four weeks.

We will continue to implement all our existing infection prevention control measures and follow Government guidance to enable us to protect our children, young people and staff as far as possible. We will respond to all the latest Government guidance as it is issued.

Update: 25 August 2020

Victoria School will be re-opening to all students from Monday 7 September. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back. Parents will be updated soon with the revised information for our return and for keeping everyone as safe as possible.

Update: 5 June 2020

Victoria School is delighted to announce that we are re-opening to some low risk students from Monday 8 June, 2020.

We have everything carefully planned and risk-assessed and our Governors have described our plans as “exemplary”.

The Teams are excited to be seeing those children who are returning and we will continue to remotely support those who are considered safer at home for now.

We look forward to seeing everyone again as soon as possible.

Latest update 20 May 2020

Victoria School will be re-opening its doors to staff for essential training in Infection Prevention & Control and The Recovery Curriculum model from Monday 1 June, 2020. From Monday 8 June, it will be then be opening to a reduced number of students whose parents want them to return and that we have deemed safe to return through thorough risk assessments. This will be delivered on a three weekly team rota basis and students will be placed in age and peer appropriate groupings. We will continue to offer our high level of service to those students remaining at home through our remote learning and therapeutic offer.

Update: 19 March 2020

Today we have taken the decision to close Victoria Education Centre to all our students with effect from Monday 23 March 2020, until further notice. This is to safeguard all the children in our care and reduce their risk of exposure to Covid-19.

We are continuing to support all our families via telephone and email contact from our Teaching, Therapy and Nursing Teams. We hope to be able to extend this support to our wider community and continue to work closely and explore how we can help with Local Authorities and Voluntary Organisations. We are currently considering the latest Government announcement made on Tuesday, 18 March. This is extremely uncharted territory for us, and we are following guidelines closely. Families and carers will be communicated to with an update as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued support.

Update: 16 March 2020

Livability have emergency plans in place to deal with and address the COVID-19 Delay phrase announced by the UK Government on 12 March 2020. We are complying with the guidelines that have been issued by the Government in the provision of all of our services. Should parents or carers want any information they should not hesitate to make contact through the channels they would normally use. If a confirmed case occurs in any of our service settings, parents and carers will be contacted directly.
