Paula 'making a difference'

Following on from her Livability award for outstanding achievement which was presented to her by Princess Anne, our Class BE Education Support Worker Paula Allcroft has now been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards. The awards are organised by the national charity ARC (Association for Real Change) who are dedicated to promoting real change in the learning disability sector. On their website, ARC England Director Lisa Lenton has this to say about the awards.

The Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate excellence and show what great support looks like. We particularly enjoy partnering with people with learning disabilities to identify the people and projects that have made the best contribution to enabling people to live the lives they want to lead.”

Paula has been nominated in the “making a difference” category and we are immensely proud of her and pleased that her work at VEC alongside all our amazing staff is being recognised. The event takes place on the 25th May at the ICC in Birmingham. Good luck Paula!
