South west open youth orchestra

Congratulations to VEC students Amar Chidziva, Sam Bird and Daniel Standhaft on their amazing achievement of all being accepted into the South West Open Youth Orchestra programme. They will undertake a series of workshops with professional musicians as mentors and when they are ready will be part of the residential opportunities and performances of the SWOYO. This is an amazing achievement by all three students, to be involved in a project that last year was broadcast on BBC Radio Three and has also featured on BBC’s The One Show, but more importantly will offer opportunities to progress with their musical talents working with professional musicians and other young people.
