Stoke Mandeville National Junior Games – Day 1

Today saw a number of VEC students and staff head up the country to Stoke Mandeville in Buckinghamshire. Over the course of the next few days, the students will be participating in a range of paralympic sports. Simon Higgins has been in touch to fill us in on the first day:

All arrived safe and sound. The students were superbly behaved on the buses and are now enjoying all the activities on offer. At the moment we have taken residence in the hockey court and students have practised their shot put technique in the indoor throwing area. This looks to be an exciting week ahead and the students are on good form.
