Teddy Bear’s Picnic
Last Friday we hosted a ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ in support of the Dorset Children’s Foundation’s Big Bear Campaign. The DCF, who are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, have launched the campaign to help cover the cost of the services they provide for local disabled children. They currently have over 550 local disabled children on their register, some of whom come to school at Victoria. Students (and staff!) brought in their favourite teddy to join them for lunch with a £1 donation. Additionally a bake sale was held, with generous contributions of homemade cakes from our staff teams. In all, £118.54 was raised on the day. Big thanks to Teacher Deanne Carr for organising this event and to the many of you who donated cakes and sent in donations.
