Three Peaks Challenge Update

Last May we posted news of a team from Raymond Brown Construction namely Mark Kettle whose Son George attends Victoria, Chris Williams, Pete Williamson and his wife Tara, Kieren Hush, Steve Whitfield and Martin Rendell about their attempt to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales including all the driving in between in less than 24 hours! I’m very pleased to report that their endeavour ended in success. The team raised an amazing £1,600.

Mark Kettle: “Our team pulled off the toughest mental and physical challenge of their lives to complete the National Three Peaks, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon and all the driving in between in under 24 hours with the team all safely down in 23½ hours. As well as driving us on an incredible 1,400 mile journey, our drivers each climbed one of the perilous peaks, giving us new found motivation, inner strength and resolve.

Our team have been touched by people’s generosity, giving what they can to raise much needed funds for the Victoria Education Centre (VEC) in Poole, providing specialised, high quality care and therapy for young disabled people, so thank you to all those who have donated so far to refurbish VEC’s caravan at Rockley Park”.

Everyone at VEC is astounded by their achievement and generosity. And these much appreciated funds will make a huge difference to the lives of our students. Thank You!
