Victoria Education Centre’s Wildlife Habitat Pond

Thankfully the sun has finally made an appearance over the last couple of days and our wildlife habitat pond is starting to burst with life. Newts and Tadpoles have been spotted by the students and there are also reports of the sighting of a small frog! Our sensory club have also been using this area to plant potatoes using old car tyres as planters. The pond is proving to be an excellent addition to the school and a great way of inspiring our students to explore wildlife. We also hope that in some way we are supporting the country’s declining population of wildlife by providing a variety of creatures with the perfect home.
