Victoria has heard today that we have been awarded the prestigious eco schools silver award. Our eco committee has been working hard over the last two years promoting green issues and raising awareness of the responsibility we all have towards our planet. As posted on the 21st May we held a green day with classes taking part in a range of green activities. We have also held a “switch off fortnight” for electrical equipment, we have placed a number of recycling bins around VEC so everyone is recycling like crazy, and classes have been actively involved in growing a range of plants and vegetables as well as fundraising across the school for the Woodland Trust and Water Aid. Well done to Jen Williams and the Victoria Eco Committee for your hard work.
