Vintage Day and Car Show 2018

Sunny skies and a great turn-out from our supporters and friends ensured that this year’s Vintage Day and Car Show played out fantastically well. All the vehicles looked beautiful in the sunshine and really set the scene as our visitors browsed the many stalls to some great tunes from Real Vintage. There was face painting and ice cream for the kids and gorgeous food and cakes on offer for refreshments. In the fashion show our student and staff models looked absolutely beautiful in their retro dresses supplied by Bombshell Chic and took the time to pose for photographers with some of the vehicles afterwards. The dream cars of The Sporting Bears were very popular as usual providing their VIP rides and it was lovely to see the amazing  birds of prey brought in by their owners John and Margaret. Things got a little louder twice during the day when the 29th Infantry Division, the WW2 living history group, staged a battle in the Carmel House woods. This year the theme was the South Pacific theatre with the Americans taking on the Japanese.

It really was a very special day and so many people went above and beyond to make it happen. We would like to thank: Real Vintage, Sporting Bears, Bombshell Chic, The Can-Am Car Club, John and Margaret, 29th Infantry Division, Parkstone Rotary Club, High Maintenance Hairdressers of Parkstone and Dolly’s Vintage Make-Overs. Also massive thanks to Chris Tarring, Paula Allcroft and all staff, friends, parents and carers who helped out on the day.
