26/3/18 – Creative Arts Week Day Two

It was Creative Arts Week 2018 day two today and another packed day of activities and events with an artistic flavour. There was lots of art being produced today with students involved in painting and drawing activities as well as creating their own sock puppets. Aaron and Tony have been running music workshops and radio shows and students have been enjoying sensory stories provided by our Occupational Therapists. Students have also been creating their own versions of well-known poems in their ‘Class Challenges’. Drama was  a focus again today as students led their own workshops and we also welcomed back Hugo to continue his sessions.

A packed day was rounded off in our, now famous dance off which had a 1950s theme to tie in with our up-coming production of Grease. As usual the dancing was amazing but the judges, after some difficult decisions, declared that the student winner was Lennon Richardson for busting some awesome moves. The staff trophy went to Elinor Sherwood for some similarly impressive dancing. Well done everyone.
