Victoria Car Show and Vintage Day

The Victoria Car Show and Vintage Day is fast approaching, here is the latest news on how the preparations are going.

Sporting Bears are a club of car enthusiasts whose sole purpose is to have fun using their cars whilst raising money for children’s charities.  They raise money through their Dream Rides events where they offer rides in their cars to the general public for a minimum donation to the charity.  It looks like they will be bringing a Nissan GTR (to be confirmed), Porsche 911 Turbo, Tesla S, Mercedes C63 AMG, TVR Tamora, Grinnall Scorpion (weather permitting), TVR Chimaera and a BMW convertible.

Real Vintage will be providing the entertainment from yesteryear. From World War One to the golden age of the crooners and the Rat Pack era, hopefully with help of DJ Phil and the lovely Jitterbugjive.

Can Am car club is one of the oldest American car clubs in the UK and was formed in the early 1960s. They have kindly chosen us as their charity for this year and will be bringing along various vehicles ahead of their own show ‘Lazy Sunday’ a couple of weeks later.

Several WW2 vehicles will be joining us, including a troop carrier, several Jeeps and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

The Poole field gun display team will be attending and will demonstrate and explain the real history of how the Royal Navy started the Field Gun Competitions, plus a varied display of military airsoft equipment, clothing, armaments, bb weapons etc.

We also have a display of birds of prey for you to meet and find out more about.

VDUB trimshop and friends will be joining us to show off some of their VW’s and a local vintage motorcycle group are hoping to join us as well as hopefully a few other exhibits still to be confirmed.

Refreshments will be provided by our kitchen, and there will be a host of different craft stalls for you to enjoy.

As well as selling plants for all your Spring gardening needs, Horticulture will be hosting a pop-up boutique for the discerning shopper and thanks to generous donations, a bric-a-brac stall with books and DVD’s.

It promises to be a really special day so we hope to see you here on Sunday 22nd May.
