Mental Health Awareness Week – The OT Café

Our Occupational Therapists held a drop-in café yesterday, selling delicious cakes and pastries and all for a good cause. If you’ve been keeping up with our Facebook posts you will know all about Pete Thompson and his challenge to run the Tour De France course and also raising awareness about mental health issues. Pete will be running an ultra-marathon of 30 miles a day for 70 days and aiming to beat the cyclists to the finish line, an astonishing undertaking. His challenge begins tomorrow and our class BE students, some of whom interviewed Pete on VIBE radio, manned the café and raised £60 to go to Pete’s total. Victoria sends a massive ‘good luck’ to Pete from us all.
