We Host Dorset STEP Event

Students from Class Portland have been ‘Stepping into Sport’ today at as we hosted The Dorset STEP Inclusive Sport Event. The purpose of this event is to further develop leadership skills for our young people and inspire them to lead and volunteer in sport. The day also developed communication and organisation skills of young people to lead in sport, raising awareness of the opportunities available to them. We were joined by other local schools to complete a variety of activities themed around one of three major sporting events. 1 – The Winter Paralympics 2 – Commonwealth Games 3 – The World Special Olympics.
