Green Island get Festive Decorating Christmas Trees

Class Green Island attended St Aldhelm’s Church this morning to decorate the Victoria School Christmas tree. Our tree is part of this year’s ‘Shining Branches Christmas Tree Festival’ taking place in the church. In all there are over 60 real trees on display decorated by the wider community in the Poole / Branksome area. All of our classes have participated by making a decoration for the tree in the shape of a wreath or a star. The wreaths represent eternity and endless hope while the star represents the star of Bethlehem, and that Christ is the light of the world and a shining hope for all mankind. The class also added a brilliant tree topper made by class TA Sally Hayes, depicting a fully lit Carmel House. After adorning the tree with the school’s decorations, they then added their own to finish it off perfectly. If you would like to see our tree and the many others on display, the festival opens on December 9th with an opening service and continues until Christmas Eve.
