A Welcome Boost

Our Duke of Edinburgh students received a welcome boost to their fundraising drive today when they were presented with a cheque for £2000. The money has been donated by ATLAS ELEKTRONIK UK. Based in Winfrith, the company is a leading provider of science and technology solutions to the UK Ministry of Defence, the Royal Navy and to other defence departments and corporate customers internationally. John Sutcliffe, Business Development Director and Marketing Manager Sarah Kirlew chatted to three of the D of E team hopefuls before John presented the cheque.  Physical Activities Assistant Alison Dougal who is organising the trip said “This money will go a long way in helping us achieve our goal and we are very grateful to ATLAS ELEKTRONIK for choosing to support us. Through generous donations like this and our sponsored events we are now within £5000 of our fundraising goal. Through us, ATLAS and our other sponsors are directly supporting our students in their efforts to attain the Duke of Edinburgh’s top award”.
