Arts Award with Arcadia

A group of students participated in a really interesting Arts Award session today when we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to interview Matt Askey, the special effects manager for Arcadia. Arcadia is a company that draws on talent from across the arts, theatre and circus disciplines, supporting cultural celebrations and iconic music festivals around the globe with their spectacular shows and sculpted stages. This was an amazing opportunity for our students to learn about some of the skills and technology needed to put on a ground breaking show. Matt was more than happy to field lots of questions from the students and had some interesting stories about working on some well-known TV shows including Peaky Blinders.
