Can-Am Car Club

The Victoria PE team were delighted to welcome our friends The Can-Am Car Club to our Boccia Club last week.  They were visiting to present us with a cheque for £1000 which they had fundraised on our behalf. This amazing donation has been used to buy a new Boccia Ramp for the Club to help students that are unable to play independently. Hannah Parry, Head of PE at Victoria,  said, “The new Boccia ramp will enable students to play more successfully in high level Boccia tournaments as well as helping them to use the ramp to improve their performance. We are extremely grateful to The Can-AM Car Club.”

Our visitors enjoyed an evening of Boccia Golf – a fun variation of the game and then joined in a match with the students learning the rules and tactics of the game. A huge thank-you to all the members of the club who give their time so generously for the benefit of others.  It was great to meet you and we hope we can play you in a re-match next year.
