Creative Arts Week 2019 – Day Two
We’ve had an explosively fun day today on day two of Creative Arts Week. Things started peacefully enough this morning with a relaxing concert by the multi-talented Tim Woodwind, who entertained us with a selection of classics and then it was time for a little practical Science with Wonderstruck.
Peter presented a brilliant mix of facts and fun with a few bangs and flashes for good measure. Classes were then asked to make rockets for a special launch in the sports hall. Meanwhile, four classes got to make some lovely Unicorn buns with Carol.
To round the day off we made fan powered cars to race. After a really close competition our winners were Josh and Lottie in the ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ team.
The Oily Cart Theatre Company has also been performing their amazing show ‘Splish Splash’ all day in our Pool; the show was staged entirely in and under the water using music to create a completely immersive experience for the students.
