From The Gruffalo to Peter Pan, Harry Potter to the Mr Men – school was awash with literary characters to mark World Book Day.
Our celebrations started with a parade in the sports hall, with students and staff dressed as characters from their favourite books.
Students also took part in a scavenger hunt, using clues to find the book characters hidden around the school grounds, and our popular Big Book Swap returned.
Some of our post-14 students visited classes to read to their peers, sharing the books that they love, and there was a focus on reading and stories throughout the day.
