End of Victoria’s Fantasy Football Season

Victoria’s fantasy football season has just drawn to a close and what a season it’s been! Mirroring the premier league for drama, three teams were in contention for the staff title right up until the last day. The student’s competition was equally exciting with six students vying for the title over the last month. In third place Amar Chidziva scored 1171 points for “Amar’s Victoria Team”. In Second place Jacob Whitehouse scored 1177 points with “Rollercoaster Rovers” with only six points between them. Overall champion for the students was the “goody Two Shoes” team managed by Connor Ferris. Connor scored a total of 1232 points. In the staff league Gary Hicks with his “Flaming Galahs” team came third with 1324 points falling just three points short of second which was held by Matt McLean and his “McDirty FC” team on 1327 points. Manager of the season was Kate Baldwin who scored 1367 points with the “Kate may have had some help” team. The winner of the wooden spoon award for coming 120th out of 120 teams was Sean Mogg with Smashers Ununited”. A special thanks must be said to Angus Collins, chairman of the Victoria league, for all his efforts in organising the fun. Roll on next season!
