English Touring Opera Comes To Victoria

On Monday 23rd September for one week the English Touring Opera is coming to Victoria. Almost all the students here are involved in various ways, and they are joined by 20 students from Poole High School.
This exciting project sees us creating a new opera called Offshore, based loosely on the characters and themes of The Tempest.
The ETO team consists of composer John Barber, director Hazel Gould, designer Jude Munden, mezzo Sue Moore and actor Matt Prendergast. Students from the Royal Academy of Music join cellist Rebecca Hewes.
The week will culminate in a performance for friends and families on Friday 27th September.
The project is made possible by the tireless enthusiasm of Belinda Ellicott our amazing music teacher, by a generous award from BBC Children in Need, and by a grant from Happy Days Charity. Watch this space for updates and photos.
