Gym Opening

Tony Bernard, Director of The Steve Bernard Foundation and the Mayor of Poole, Councillor Xena Dion has visited Victoria to open our newly refurbished fitness gym which was completed with the help of G.R. Westbuild Building Contractors. The Foundation was set up in memory of Steve Bernard who was tragically killed in a car accident. It raises money to support sporting projects in his memory as he loved sport. The Foundation supports projects based across Bournemouth, Dorset and the South Coast.

A large percentage of the money needed to complete the refurbishment was raised by a dedicated group of fundraisers who took on the arduous challenge of cycling from Poole to Rome. They raised in excess of £20,000 whilst cycling the gruelling journey through Italy, touching on the French Alps and returning to Poole.

This fantastic facility will enable students of all disabilities to access the gym and benefit from using it. Our students are very excited about being able to use their new gym.

We are extremely grateful to everyone involved in this tremendous event, it will make a great deal of difference to the students at our school. Thank you.
