Purbeck trip to Cranbourne
As part of their studies, our Purbeck students recently visited the Ancient Technology Centre in Cranbourne. They met lead tutor Andy Stevens and had the opportunity to get hands on and to explore the site to see first-hand what life was like in the distant past. Here is the day in their own words…..“We were very lucky as the weather was quite sunny and dry.We were met by Andy, our tutor for the day. First, we had a look around then did our first activity – making felt balls from sheep’s wool.After lunch, we tried weaving – it was easy! Then, Andy lit a fire using a flint.It was an interesting day and we learned a lot”.
