School Games Mark – Gold Award

We are delighted to share the news that we have achieved School Games Mark – Gold award!

The School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme designed to reward schools for their commitment to the development of PE, school sport clubs and competitions across their school and into the community.

The scheme is administered by the Youth Sport Trust and provides schools with the opportunity to review and validate their school sport offer against a set of criteria. The Mark is a retrospective award which validates our success over the last academic year. Ofsted use the Mark award as part of their inspection framework and schools can use it to aid the development of PE.

The assessor was particularly impressed and noted how well the school had done to offer such a great calendar of events to the students at Victoria and acknowledged the hard work that all staff have undertaken to ensure that young people have access to a wide breadth of sports and opportunities.

This is a fantastic achievement and very fitting to receive this news on our Sports Day which was a great success.
