TES School Awards

We are very pleased to announce that Victoria won a major prize at this year’s Times Education Supplement School Awards, the digital innovation /education technology school of the year. The glittering event was held last Friday at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane and was presented by Comedian and Novelist Julian Clary.

Speaking of the award the judges said: “While all of the submissions to this year’s digital innovation category clearly demonstrated a positive impact on educational outcomes, only one of this year’s submissions epitomised technology’s capacity to transform our experience and make habitual what was previously unattainable. For this reason, this year’s award goes to the Victoria Education Centre.”

Headteacher Simon Brown, who attended the event with a group of school representatives commented, “This is a fantastic tribute to all the young people at VEC, their families and wonderful recognition for the amazing staff whose innovation, dedication, creativity and ongoing hard work are making such a difference to the lives and future success of the students”.
