We celebrated World Book Day on March 6 with a host of activities in school.
Highlights included a Harry Potter-themed scavenger hunt, some fantastic sensory stories, creativity expressed through a range of costumes and best of all peer-to-peer reading.
Older students from Arne, Brownsea and Pergins classes read to our younger students and we saw lots of engagement and participation.
Our book swap proved popular, with students bringing in books from home to share, and we also took part in a BBC live lesson providing inspiration to support reading for pleasure.
Reading is a core part of our curriculum and World Book Day showcases the benefits of reading for all.
