23/3/18 – Creative Arts Week Day One

Creative Arts Week 2018 starts today and this term we are celebrating the 10th anniversary. Entitled ‘We are 10’, Our students have a whole week of off-timetable activities and events centred on the arts. Starting things off today we had a whole school assembly this morning to set the tone and then it was down to business. School friends, The Bamboozle Theatre Company, are with us today with the ASD version of their amazing ‘Pulse’, specifically created for students on the Autism spectrum. We have special music sessions and radio shows planned with Carol getting creative with Chocolate in the food tech room. There is also face-painting today and former student Hugo Lucas-Rowe is running drama workshops. As it is a short week next week CAW 18 will culminate in ‘The VEX Factor’ where the students get an opportunity to showcase their talents X Factor style in front of a judging panel. Watch out for photos a little later today and throughout next week as Creative Arts Week 2018 rolls on.
