Adam’s Incredible Mascot Experience

On Saturday 3rd November, our local Premier League football team AFC Bournemouth faced Manchester United at the Vitality Stadium. The match sadly finished in a 2-1 win for Manchester United, with Marcus Rashford finding the net deep into injury time.

Although the result will have left Bournemouth fans disappointed, the match was a terrific experience for Adam Sevenoaks, a member of our Friday class. Adam was AFC Bournemouth’s mascot for the game, and he has kindly written us a report of his experiences:

Recently I was mascot for AFC Bournemouth Vs. Manchester United.

It was great to meet Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, David de Gea, Ander Herrera, Ashley Young and José Mourinho even through they were from the opposition!

I felt excited because I love football and AFC Bournemouth are my team. It was also great to be able to walk out with my favourite player Junior Stanislas.  I also felt nervous because I would walk out with AFC Bournemouth in front of 11 thousand people.

All in all the game and experience was out of this world; although Bournemouth lost the game it was still nice to be at the game where Callum Wilson scored a goal and he has since been called up to the England squad.
