Maths Activity Week 2019

This week is Maths Activity Week at VEC, and the students have been weighing, measuring and counting using pumpkins that each class have grown in our school pumpkin patch. In food tech Class CN were making tasty pumpkin cake, making sure that all weights and measures were accurate for the best possible results. Meanwhile, Class JW worked on counting and built a pumpkin tower. Green Island compared the weights of different things using a balance while Class BN looked at different surfaces and how they might roll down a slide. There are pumpkins everywhere! Later in the week we will be seeing who has grown the largest pumpkin in the Victoria pumpkin patch.
