RNLI presentation keeps VEC students safe on the water

Water safety is very important to us and during swimming lessons our students are made aware of the risks involved. To reinforce this, two classes are working towards their RNLI safety certificate and as part of this process a presentation was held last week by guest speaker David Richmond-Coggan from the RNLI. David gave a very interesting talk to seven classes, highlighting how to be safe around water and what to do should you get into difficulty. He also told us the history of the RNLI and how it came to be formed, before being interviewed on VIBE radio. We will be posting the interview on MixCloud soon. Special thanks to David for a great presentation and also to Dan Cook for organising.
