World Book Day 2020

This coming Thursday is World Book Day 2020 and we are holding a full, off timetable day of stories, reading, creativity and fun to celebrate. World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world. This year there is a special ‘Dragon’s Den’ for our Post 16 students with staff members giving presentations about their favourite books that the students will then vote on for a ‘book of the day’ to study. All classes will be involved in creating something relating to their books to show in a special assembly presentation. This could be a model, a drawing or even a performance. It’s going to be a great day and we will be sharing the highlights with you throughout, right here!
