Sassy Walks for Annabelle

In partnership with Batten Fighters Forever (BFF), last Friday and Saturday two ‘Sassy Walks’ were held in memory of much missed Victoria student Annabelle. On Friday, students and staff dressed in bright colours and wheeled, walked and ran on a course around the school grounds to raise awareness and support ongoing research. In total, a distance of 186.3 miles was covered. On Saturday, Annabelle’s birthday, a group of staff walked and wheeled 18 miles in memory of Annabelle, raising money for BFF, a charity that Annabelle started, to help families who also have children with Batten’s. The group walked from Creekmoor to Ringwood along the Castleman trail. It was very muddy and they ended up at the Elm Tree pub where Annabelle’s brother played in his band. A BBQ and raffle was held. All in all a very lovely day. Annabelle would have loved it.
