Sports Week – Wednesday

Today’s theme for day two of Victoria’s medieval Sports Week has been ‘Medieval Experiences’. The weather hasn’t been great today but our staff and students didn’t let that dampen our spirits, even after some hasty re-organising. As you will see, the students got very hands on today with jousting and tennis. Our special guests were Alan Sheriff and Viv Mills who are British Disability Fencing Coaches. They made the trip down to Poole all the way from the Midlands. The students particularly enjoyed getting to grips with the swords. School friends Margaret and John brought in their beautiful birds and there was a ‘Neon Disco’ held in the drama studio for some very sensory dancing. We must also thank Paula Van Breda who kindly ran our ‘School of the Forest’ workshops, producing some lovely items with natural materials. This afternoon our sports hall was converted to a medieval fete with all the attendant stalls and activities. Another great day.
