This afternoon, our students had the opportunity to engage their senses and explore their imaginations as The English Touring Opera joined us with their SEND performance of ‘The Wellies’. Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Galoshes of Fortune, The Wellies is a fun and immersive story about magic, splashing, and being careful about what you wish for. The story centres around Milly, who is bored and stuck at home as it’s raining outside. She finds an amazing pair of shiny talking wellies and discovers their secret power to splash you to any time and place you desire. The students were captivated by the performance and were able to move and interact as they wished.
