Victoria Beat Boxing in running for award

Some of you may remember our project with beatboxer Dean Yhnell during Creative Arts Week back in July 2021. Dean performed for us as well as holding one to one sessions with four of our students. We are excited to report that this collaboration has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Music and Drama Education Awards 2022, in the “Excellence in SEND” category. Dean (aka Beat Technique), delivered four one-to-one sessions to each of the four students and during the sessions, he demonstrated his beatboxing skills and taught the students how to use their own voices in a creative way. The awards ceremony will take place at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square on 23rd of March 2022.
