Wheelchair Rugby at VEC

We were delighted to welcome Adam and Stuart from Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby today. They will be joining us to run lunchtime sessions, introducing the sport over the next five weeks. The sessions, which have been organised through The Lords Taverners, kicked off today with passing skills.

Zoolab came to school yesterday and many of our students had the chance to meet and to handle some amazing animals. They brought a range of ethically sourced creatures from bugs to snakes. The students loved it and it was an invaluable opportunity to get closer to nature.

Fundraising efforts are gathering pace for this summer’s Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award expedition to America. Senior Physical Activity Assistant Ali Dougal has been instrumental in organising events and last weekend a Swimathon was held in conjunction with Poole Lions.
